What purpose does your life have?
What can you do to live better?

Coach, entrepreneur, and father.
Hello, my name is Juan, and -among other things- I am a coach. I help you to identify the resources you already have to achieve a better life: more fulfilling, more satisfying, and aligned with your values.
I am originally from Spain, and I emigrated to England in 1999, where I currently live with my children and grandchildren. For more than 30 years I have been an engineer, and 10 years ago I discovered a second vocation: investing. I have a financial education website and I am an advisor to Impassive Wealth, an investment fund in Spain.
I decided to dedicate my time to coaching because I want to be a positive force that transforms the lives of people. Unknowingly I was coaching because people asked me for advice. But then I discovered that helping is not advising, but make people find their own solutions. If I contribute to the life improvement of just one person my mission would be fulfilled.
I have completed the core coaching curriculum of the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI)®, an institution highly recognised in the coaching domain.
A good coach helps you to know yourself. Entós comes from ancient Greek (ἐντός) and it means “within” o “inner”. It represents very well the values of coaching, which embraces the belief that we (people) have inside ourselves everything we need to achieve happiness.
How does Co-Active Coaching work?
Co-Active Coaching is the methodology in which I have been trained at the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI).
This type of coaching explores people's being (self-knowledge) and moves them to take actions that transform their lives. It seeks to answer two questions: Who am I? What can I do to improve my life?
A fundamental certainty
People are not broken. They do not need to be fixed. We have all the resources we need to manage our lives successfully.
Respectful companionship
I accompany you throughout the process, with your permission to take you to "uncomfortable" places. Without judging, with total privacy, and without telling you what to do.
Transformative actions
Co-Active Coaching moves you to take real action in your life through concise, empowering, and reachable goals.

Some frequently asked questions
Sharing private matters could be a concern. How is this managed in the coaching relationship? Coaching sessions are completely and absolutely confidential. Similar to confidentiality with other professionals like doctors or lawyers. Our relationship will be subjected to the code of ethics of the International Coaching Federation
I have to recognise that I was very skeptical before I experienced coaching, but I have totally changed my opinion. Is there anything in your life that bothers you? Can you identify something about life that you would like to improve? A good coach will travel with you the journey of self-knowledge that would allow you, if you commit to it, to improve your life substantially. How? Using the resources you already have within you.
I like explaining this by saying that coach and client are “at the same level”. The coach inquires with curiosity using proved techniques to discover the true “being” of the client and possible actions for improvement. A coach does not give advice, a coach does not tell the client what to do to solve issues. A therapy professional or a counsellor are there to provide advice. From this point of view these professionals are at a level ‘above’ the patient or client, but that is not the case with coaching.
Yes, absolutely. There are not reasons in principle to have to choose just one technique over the rest. All of them have proved their value to people. It may be sensible though to inform all parties involved about it in order to provide context.
Each coaching session is unique, based in the exploration of the being through multiple tools: metaphors, questions, connection with the body, use of perspectives, listening... Usually (not always) a session ends with improvement actions. The duration of a session depends on the themes brought up. From experience, sessions of between 45 minutes and 1 hour once a month work well in most cases.
During this session coach and client get to know each other and share the topics the coachee wants to explore. An explanation of coaching can be provided if needed. Then I like conducting a real coaching session (same as a paying session) so the client can experience how coaching works for real. After the first session, the potential client decides, with absolutely no commitment, if he or she wants to extend the coaching adding paid sessions.
Change begins here.
